Thoughts about St. Mark's Lutheran School by Current Families

Our daughter Lauren attended 2 years of pre-school at St. Mark's and deciding to send her to St. Mark's for kindergarten was not an easy decision. My husband and I debated the merits of sending her to a private versus public school. Our initial draw to the kindergarten at St. Mark's was the class size and the continuity of continuing her education at St. Mark's. The Christian environment, academic excellence, caring hands-on staff, and the mandatory uniforms (which have made our mornings go more smoothly), and involved parents have been wonderful. Most importantly, the excitement Lauren has for school-seeing her blossom in her love for Jesus Christ and learning-has reinforced the decision we made to send her to St. Mark's

From the first day I dropped my oldest daughter off at preschool, I knew St. Mark's Lutheran school was the right choice for our family. The friendly, safe, Christ centered environment is helping to build a solid foundation for my three children. The staff is dedicated to helping each child thrive and succeed emotionally and academically. The teachers are exceptional!

Our two children are blessed to attend St. Mark’s Lutheran School in both the early childhood and Kindergarten programs. Over the past two years, we have had the privilege of having teachers that are truly invested in our children. The teachers cultivate an environment where camaraderie, academic excellence, and Christianity are intently developed. Upperclassmen foster a culture of encouragement, solidarity, and fellowship with the younger students. These older students will accompany preschoolers to chapel, read to younger students, and pray for your family. In addition, teachers promote a cooperative, individualized educational experience for students. Mrs. Marsh, the Kindergarten teacher openly communicates with parents regarding deficiencies and talents. She has identified our son’s aptitude with numbers and has advanced his math skills beyond the Kindergarten level. Also, she equips us with techniques to improve his academic shortcomings. Her personal investment in our son gives him confidence and enthusiasm about school. Most importantly, our children are receiving a Christian education that helps shape their character and morality. Entrusting St. Mark’s with our children’s education has been a blessing for our family.
