Mervin W. Dehning began his ministry as principal of St. Mark’s in July of 2018.  Prior to coming to Missouri, he served Lutheran schools in Minnesota, Texas, Nebraska, and Kansas.  His responsibilities have included teacher, coach, athletic director, public relations coordinator, recreation director, assistant principal, and principal.  Merv graduated from Concordia Teacher’s College in Seward, Nebraska, with a bachelor’s degree in education (major in mathematics and minor in theology), and he received a master’s in elementary education from Concordia University, Nebraska.  Merv and his wife Melanie have two adult children and three grandchildren.

Sandy Armstrong became Early Childhood Director in July of 2007.  Her bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology is from Maryville University and her master’s degree in education was obtained from Webster University in St. Louis.  She completed her Lutheran Teacher Colloquy through Concordia University, Irvine.  Sandy had ten years of early childhood experience prior to her work at St. Mark’s.  She organizes and staffs all EC programs, the summer programs for infants through sixth grade, and the before and after care programs for students in grades K-8.  When she’s not enjoying the students and families at St. Mark’s, she loves to spend time with her family.
Tonya started at St. Mark’s in 2014 as an Early Childhood aide.  She moved into the assistant director position in 2018.  Tonya has worked in the childcare field for more than ten years.  Tonya and her husband Andy have five children and one grandchild.

Debbie Armbruster started her ministry at St. Mark’s in 1986.  During her years at St. Mark’s she has taught primarily middle school students in the areas of English, literature, math, art, and physical education.  She has coached cross country, volleyball, basketball, and track, and loves to work with children at VBS, Sunday school, and summer camps.  Her undergraduate degree in education is from Concordia University in Nebraska, and she completed her master’s in physical education at the University of Houston.  She enjoys writing, reading, and creating things by reusing materials.  During her free time, she loves spending time with her husband Jim, her extended family, and her dog Sadie.

Linda Dehn - Middle School (5th - 8th grade)
Linda Dehn has been teaching at St. Mark’s since 2001. She has taught 3rd through 8th  grade and is currently teaching in the middle school. She graduated from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, and completed her Lutheran Teacher Colloquy from Concordia University, Chicago. Her love for hands-on teaching and field trips fits in well with the history curriculum. In the summer of 2016, she attended a week long teacher institute in Colonial Williamsburg. This experience helped enhance her knowledge of colonial times. Linda serves as the public relations coordinator for the church and school and has worked closely with a variety of individuals and groups at St. Mark’s to organize events for the school families and community.  Linda is involved in many children’s ministry programs, she directs plays, and she coaches the academic team. She and her husband, Mike, have three children. She enjoys traveling and learning about history.
   Janet Landgraf - Elementary School(Kindergarten)
Janet Landgraf began her ministry at St. Mark’s in 2016. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and her Lutheran Teacher Colloquy from Concordia University, Chicago. She is currently attending Webster University for her master’s in reading. She loves being a life-long learner and she is passionate about encouraging her students to love learning, too. Janet is currently serving as the athletic director. She is married to Paul, a Lutheran pastor, and they have three children.
   Susan Mueller - Elementary School (1st & 2nd grade)
Susan Mueller joined St. Mark's staff in 2016. She graduated from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, in 2004 and completed her master’s at Missouri Baptist University in 2009. She is very excited to be working at St. Mark's Lutheran School. She and her husband Andy have two children. 

Jackie Langley joined St. Mark's teaching staff in 2016. Prior to joining the staff, Jackie attended St. Mark’s school from pre-K through 8th grade.  In addition to being an alumni of the school, she has been a lifelong member of St. Mark’s church.  She graduated with her master’s in education from Truman State University in May of 2015. The year after her college graduation, she traveled the world and gained experience teaching abroad in Guatemala and Africa. She teaches 3rd and 4th grade and is also involved in children’s and youth ministries.  

Daviann Phye received her degrees in elementary education and special education from Webster University. When she is not at school, she loves spending time with her family. Daviann and her husband Brad have two daughters.

Julie Krueger joined St. Mark's early childhood staff in 2010 as the lead teacher for the pre-kindergarten students. Julie earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a bachelor’s in elementary education. She has several years of experience as a parent educator in the Rockwood School District. Julie and her husband Kevin have three grown children and three grandchildren.

Kelly Krueger - Pre-Kindergarten (Pandas)
Kelly Krueger joined St. Mark’s early childhood staff in 2018. She is finishing her second bachelor’s degree in elementary education at Western Governor’s University before beginning her master’s and doctorate in early childhood education at Walden University. Kelly ran an in-home preschool program for four years while working on her degrees. She and her husband, Dan, have two children, two Chihuahuas and a black lab.

Karen Suerig began working at St. Mark’s in 2009. Since joining St. Mark’s, she has worked in both the preschool class and the 2-year-old class. She and her husband Brian have two adult children. While she was raising her own children she took care of many children in her home before coming to St. Mark’s. Karen loves watching her students grow and learn.

Jennifer Brevard - Pre-School (Owls)
Jennifer Brevard started working at St. Mark's in August of 2014 as a lead preschool teacher. She graduated from Concordia University, Seward, Nebraska, with a bachelor’s in elementary education. She earned her master’s degree in early childhood education from Webster University, St. Louis. She came to St. Mark’s with 16 years of early childhood experience. Jennifer and her husband Marc have two children.

Crystal O'Callaghan joined St. Mark's early childhood staff in 2008. She is the lead teacher for the 2-year-old Friendly Frogs class. Crystal was blessed with the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom for several years. As a mother to four grown children she understands how important it is to provide a loving, safe, and educational environment while having fun. She believes learning and play go hand-in-hand.

Meagan Spearman came to St. Mark’s in 2015. She worked in several of the early childhood classrooms prior to taking the role as lead teacher in the Mighty Monkey classroom in 2018. 
Glenda Gastler joined the St. Mark’s staff in 2014. She has been with the Busy Bird toddlers for the entire time she has been at St. Mark’s.  She became the lead teacher in February of 2016. Prior to coming to St. Mark’s, Glenda was a stay-at-home mom for several years. She has four boys, three grandchildren and three foster grandchildren. Her three older boys attended King of Glory Lutheran School in St. Louis.
Catrina Rademacher (Infants)
Catrina Rademacher came to St. Mark’s in the fall of 2016 and was instrumental in the opening of the Little Lambs infant room. She loves to watch and nurture the growth and development of small minds during the children’s very early years.   In her free time, she enjoys all outdoor things with her husband Chris.
